Website Hosting
Simple as it sounds, it's actually fairly intensive and requires doing your homework.
As many flavors of ice cream, we have the topic of website hosting. Granted, a large majority of websites are hosted on "Shared" server environments because of their sheer savings in costs. Who doesn't like $4.99 per month website hosting. Buyer be weary, you always get what you pay for... and in this case, it's not much.
Shared Friends
GoDaddy is one of the most well known hosting companies, due in part, by their over-siliconed (and bo'toxed) female models advertising campaigns starting during the 2005 Super Bowl. Yes, they still have them occasionally. To be fair, GoDaddy offers much more expensive hosting options, but we find folks complaining to us about their website speed. Its optimized, all the images are very tiny and in the correct format. The site is not bloated. While it's not hooked up to a CDN, it's just kinda slow. 20 seconds to completely paint or render the webpage. Thats a bit extreme as this is not 1998.
Many times, we find they choose "Economy" hosting at the hosting company, and therefor is placed on a server with 100,000 other "friends". This will be come a problem when the server is under heavy load and cannot process the requests. Regardless, if it's countless bots in an coordinated attack, or just a visitor attempting to see the detail of the product your selling. The website speed is a larger issue than ever from big G's standpoint (Google).

Sadly, with today's environment, it's a requirement to have frequent and up-to-date backups. Why the concern? When most data warehouses are up 100% of the time! Hackers. Hackers running automated scripts, we'll call them bots. They are constantly knocking on the front door, the backdoor, the chimney, the side door... you get the point. Here is typical scripts ran on websites, everyday:

August 25, 2019 7:52pm 72.167.190.36 (United States) Blocked for SQL Injection in query string: option=com_content1111111111111 UNION SELECT CHAR(45,120,49,45,81,45),CHAR(45,120,50,45,81,45),CHAR(45,120,...
It's an injection attempt directly into the SQL database that runs the website. It was blocked, but many websites using SQL (a very common database) must project against these everyday attacks. Otherwise, you're site will be offering maleware soon to the visitors. At some point, left unattended, Google will block you and then block your entire domain. Yes, you will even loose email at that domain for having a poorly maintained website.
